Fall/Winter 2016-17 Choyo Joo Collection
It all started from one simple dress of Madame Gres’ Fall/Winter 1968 collection. Rather than settling down on her signature creations, she took an experimental attempt in shifting her style to create a simple yet beautiful piece which was distinct from her classic styles. To embrace Madame Gres’ innovative couture spirit, Choyo reflected her own modern chic aesthetic philosophy into the Fall/Winter 2016-17 collection.
The reduced palette in ‘Composition in Oval with Color Planes 2’ by Pieter Cornelis Mondrian is translated perfectly into sophisticated pastel hues for a soft feminine look. The season’s clothes provide warm surfaces in wool, angora, cashmere, and a variety of luxury furs.
Choyo’s semi haute couture designs stay true to the foundation of her craft and dedication to the details. All her designs are created by draping on a Stockman mannequin to provide flattering silhouettes with more comfort.
